What is C-Tribe?

We are a diversity-led collision gathering that brings together big thinkers, innovators, and creatives across various industries. Our aim is to help celebrate diversity and help innovative and creative people achieve their dreams. We believe that a solid, innovation & creative hub is crucial for a city to develop, attract and retain people. It positively impacts the quality of life within cities, and it creates a vibrant urban culture that further establishes the region as a viable and globally competitive economy. By way of positive growth through immersive experiences —showcases, music, food, panels, workshops, and special events — we will do our part to contribute to building an innovative and creative hub by breaking down silos and creating an inclusive environment that spurs enriched relationships and economic, social, and cultural prosperity.

When and where does C-Tribe take place?

Can I cosplay at the Festival?

Cosplaying is encouraged and welcome at the C-Tribe Festival. Many attendees enjoy dressing up as their favourite video game characters, and there is even a cosplay competition at the convention. Please navigate to the Cosplay page on the C-Tribe website to submit an application to be part of the event.

Where can I sign up for the cosplay contest?

What should my announcer script for the cosplay contest entail?

Your script should be no longer than six sentences long and adequately describe your character, construction, and any points that make your cosplay unique.

I.e., Exceptional Cosplay skillfully embodies the essence of the economic Character from Franchise ABC in their latest creation. This expertly curated cosplay showcases a mastery of weathering, smocking, and intricate foam detailing techniques. Notably, the wings seamlessly integrate into the costume and attach to a robust backplate, exemplifying a keen attention to detail. Handcrafted shoes and a meticulously dyed and modified wig complete the transformation. Demonstrating a significant leap in cosplay craftsmanship, this creation is a source of immense pride for the talented artist, who’s excited to present it to the C-Tribe community.

What is the C-Tribe x Music Festival & Conference?

It’s an annual music event combining an immersive music development conference with a vibrant music festival. This interactive gathering unites music aficionados and festival enthusiasts, delivering a series of dynamic performances that entertain and empower the next generation of emerging musicians. Showcasing the latest talents in Pop, Country, Folk, Hip-Hop, and R&B (to name a few), it's a collision of sounds and ideas that sets the stage for the future of the music industry.

When and where does C-Tribe x Music take place?

The next C-Tribe x Music Festival and Conference will be held from August 16th to 18th, 2024, in Edmonton, AB. Please keep a lookout on our website and social media for official announcements and venue locations.

What kind of music should I expect at C-Tribe x Music?

The Music Festival features over 40 artists from a variety of genres ranging from Pop, Country, Folk, Hip-Hop, and R&B, to name a few. Please keep an eye out on our website and social media for official artist announcements and venue locations.

How do I apply to perform at the 2024 C-Tribe x Music Festival or in the MusicVerse Showcase?

Showcasing Artist applications will open soon. Please keep an eye out on our website and social media for announcements. When submissions open:

• The link will be available to register very soon. Please look out for details.
‍• You must have a C-Tribe ID account to fill out an application. Click “sign in” then either log in or create an account.
• When you are logged in, click “Apply Now” to open the application.
• Fill out all relevant information. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
• Click “Submit”
• On the next page, click <button> to lead to the payment page.
• Enter your payment information, read and agree to the terms and conditions and click “Confirm”
• On the next page, you must click “Complete Your Purchase” to finish the transaction.
• A confirmation email will be sent to the person listed as the primary contact.

Please note:

The person listed as Primary Contact in your C-Tribe x Music Application should be someone who is authorized to respond on behalf of the act applying and frequently checks their email. Notifications from C-Tribe will be sent to the Primary Contact email address and will require a timely response.

Invited artists do not need to purchase a C-Tribe x Music Badge to apply for or to perform at a C-Tribe x Music Showcase. Artists who are not selected to perform will be able to purchase a C-Tribe x Music Pass at the lowest available registration rate after notification of status if they choose to do so. There are no refunds if you purchase registration at a higher rate or decide not to attend if you are not offered to showcase.

Within 48 hours of submission, you will receive a confirmation email from C-Tribe. If you do not receive notification within 48 hours, please follow up by email to ensure your showcase application has been submitted properly and is under consideration.

How are artists chosen to play at the C-Tribe x Music Festival?

The C-Tribe x Music Festival programming staff and additional team members listen to and evaluate the acts according to originality, technical ability, songwriting skills, career establishment, and overall artistry. Every application is reviewed and evaluated by multiple parties and boards, then invitations are extended to those selected to perform. As C-Tribe receives many applications each year, it is, unfortunately, impossible to invite and accommodate every great act who applies.

What is the payment and credential policy for showcasing artists at C-Tribe?

As an industry event, showcasing at C-Tribe provides opportunities to network, receive mentorship, and further career development that may not be available in conventional consumer-focused festivals.

For C-Tribe x Music 2024, showcasing artists will receive a registration package, which consists of an Artist Credential Music Pass for each performing member of a group. The C-Tribe x Music Artist Credential provided to each performer is valued at $599 each), plus special artist-only benefits.

Acts can choose to receive monetary compensation in lieu of Aritst Credentials, which is decided upon on a case-by-case basis.

C-TRIBE X FASHION FAQ

Can I buy a pass for all the C-Tribe x Fashion events?

Of course. We offer a variety of passes that help you accomplish this. The Diversity Pass, Tribe Pass, VIP Pass, Executive Pass, and C-Tribe x Fashion Pass all get you access to the C-Tribe x Fashion events. They each provide a different level of access so please visit the Passes page for more information.

Can I upgrade my ticket?

Upgrades may be available if tickets are not sold out.

Can I get a Bottle Service Package if some members of my group are under 18?

No, only those 18 or older are permitted to enter designated bottle service areas. You must be 18 years or older to enter the venue with a Bottle Service Pass.

When do I arrive for the C-Tribe x Fashion Show?

VIPs will need to arrive, at minimum, 30 minutes prior to the show start time. VIPs can gain entry through a designated VIP line. Please keep in mind that VIPs need to be checked-in at least 15 minutes before the show, otherwise they may lose their seating for the first segment of the show.

What should I wear to the C-Tribe x Fashion Shows?

We highly recommend dressing to impress, and being fashion-forward. For more inspiration, please follow @ctribexfashion on Instagram for tips.

Is there an age limit?

While we do believe in a family-friendly environment, please keep in mind that this ia fashion and it’s the ultimate self-expression. They may be expressive outfits presented by designers and worn by the models. Please exercise caution when deciding to bring young children.
