Children starting school today will enter the labor market and start voting in the 2030s. It is very difficult to know what types of jobs, and indeed what type of world, they are being prepared for. Needless to say, it’s an ongoing debate with conflicting information from various experts. It leaves plenty of room for interpretation around what impact automation technology like artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics will have on jobs, skills, and wages. What does this mean for our educational institutions or for parents of newborns keen on setting their children up for success? It’s evident that in order for people to keep up, adapt, and work alongside effectively with highly capable machines, they will require a very different set of skills. How do we go about grooming the leaders of the next generation and what will it take to deploy a workforce of highly-capable and purpose-driven members of society?
The C-Tribe Future of Work Deep-Dive Track, co-created by RBC Future Launch, is a curated day of insight and inspiration, as we explore what is needed by our leaders where diversity, mobility, transparency, and experience are not only embraced, but encouraged.
