Anti-Harassment Policy

C-Tribe is dedicated to providing an enjoyable, respectful and harassment-free event experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks.

We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form and we expect all participants to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference, without a refund, at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to: verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Exhibitors at C-Tribe, sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing / uniforms / costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events.

Emergency Contact Details

All suspected violations of the law should be reported to local law enforcement. For emergencies, dial 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, the Edmonton Police Department is available at (780)-423-4567.

We have volunteers on site that have been briefed to immediately escalate incidents to their team leads, who will in turn escalate to the venue coordinator, who will then liaise with medical or security staff, or Police, where required.

Additionally, there are easily identifiable security staff, throughout the venue, who are professionally trained according to best practices for events of this size and nature.

// vision & values

We exist to celebrate diversity and to help innovative and creative people achieve their dreams.

We are manifesting our vision between the blurred lines of the physical and metaphysical worlds. We’re a community of misfits who aren’t afraid to fail. We aren’t afraid to push boundaries. We aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo. The world 100 years ago looked completely different than it does today and that will be the case for the next 100. We’re building C-Tribe to be at the forefront of web3 culture and to do that requires a whole new set of rules.

Values:

Take care of our people – our community comes first. Always. We pride ourselves on operating in underserved communities and being a platform for underestimated people. By standing up for them, they show out for us. This is our superpower.

Collisions, culture, connections, commerce – the future of community lives at the intersection of these four things. C-Tribe is uniquely positioned to explore and build on this.

Inspire and innovate –  By framing the way we want to change the world, we can experiment with new ideas and positively criticize the status quo. By developing inspiring things for our collective, anything is possible.
